Th e cr e a ti on of AS HR AE S t a n da rds and Gui d elines is determined by the need for them , and c onf o rman ce to them is c o m p letely voluntary. In refe rring to this S t a n d a rd or Guideline and in marking of equipme n t and in advertis ing , no c l aim shall be mad e, either state d or im plied, that the product has bee n ap proved by A S HRAE.
